Tmandi Social Media & Email Marketing
Why don't you introduce yourself?

My name is Jonnie Jensen. I am Tmandi.co.uk. After 11 years working in internet marketing I realised that the skills and experience I have are priceless to busy business owners who know they need to improve their internet marketing activities but don't know where to start. I know the right tools to use, I know how much should be paid for such services and I tell it straight to my clients.
What does Tmandi do?
I go into companies and provide practical consulting. I work as their digital marketing manager and put the internet marketing strategy in place. Often these skills are missing from businesses. I solve that problem. I help businesses ensure that their internet marketing is in line with their business objectives and working hard to find new customers, increase awareness and drive sales.
How can you help businesses?

I realised through experience that choosing how and where to spend your marketing budget can be a stressful experience. This is especially true when looking at internet marketing as there is always something new to know about and learn. I take that stress away from people. As a business you have to do marketing. You want a website that works and gets noticed by the search engines. You want to be creating content and promoting your business so that people know about you. And, you want to be sending your customers emails so they stay your customer. This is what Tmandi does; through blogs, email, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, voucher codes and others I will help you carry out the most cost effective form of advertising available. Tmandi makes internet marketing simple and helps you succeed.
You can get great advice on these subjects by reading my blog www.tmandi.co.uk/blog. I am also offering to review your web site, email marketing and social media profiles that are set up. If none are set up then we will brainstorm ideas about which to use.
Why is social media such a buzzword at the moment?

Social media has become so important because the internet has changed from being an information and advertising channel to a communication and collaboration channel. Quite literally people are connecting, talking and sharing in ways never before possible on blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and many others. Information travels around almost immediately. Great news travel fast and bad news travels even faster. Everything gets rated, commented on and added to by the next person. Think about the reviews on Amazon or type a brand name into Twitter search. It is most common now for people to make their purchase decisions based on what other people recommend, not what you tell them on your website.
But what benefit is this to my businesses?
There are two benefits to business. The first is boosting your reputation and reach. The second is improving your search engine rankings.
No1 – instead of telling people what to do through 'hit and hope' advertising you can now listen and find out what people actually want. You can create services to fit that opportunity, introduce yourself as the solution to that need and target future advertising. If someone were to be complaining about your business you can intercept it and transform their experience into a positive one. When you 'wow' people with great service and solutions they will say good things about your business. Other people start to notice and trust you and share the experience amongst their network. Suddenly the five people you were dealing with have told ten people each, who told another ten people – five has just become 500.

No2 – you and the people talking about your business are also improving your search rankings. Google and the other search engines look for mentions of keywords and links back to the related site. Each article or comment on a blog of forum that features a link back to your site is improving how high your site appears in search results. The ideal scenario is when a search for your business or product type returns not just your website but also lots of people talking about you and your website elsewhere.
This whole process starts with Social Media Monitoring which Tmandi can set up for you.
Should people still send emails to their customers?

Of course – yes, yes, yes send emails. Email marketing is the most cost effective form of direct marketing and is a powerful sales tool. Created well and featuring content that is useful, informative and even entertaining your customer will enjoy receiving it. I don't recommend blasting out sales messages constantly. It shows no respect for your customer. Imagine if you had a friend who keeps turning up at your house and only talks about themselves and how great they are. I don't think they will stay a friend very long. Create a template, a calendar of when you are going to send them and use a quality email marketing tool. Don't send them from your Outlook or normal email. You will not get any benefit from the reporting tools and you may get your email address blocked. Tmandi has its own system called InspiredMail. When you send out an email you will know exactly who has opened it and what they have looked at, which is a powerful sales tool.
What about search engines? I just want to be higher up the search results.

Effective social media marketing is the best way to improve your web sites search ranking. The more sites that link to yours the better Google thinks it is and the higher it puts it. Make sure the links are relevant though; if you are active in the right communities around the right subjects then this won't be a problem. Setting up accounts on various sites like YouTube, Flickr and Slideshare with your own content is a good start.
Search engine optimisation does require your site to have certain features in place like good use of titles and internal links between pages. This can be easily reviewed and most times adjusted. If you are thinking of rebuilding your website then WordPress is an excellent tool for creating search engine friendly web sites. Whatever you do, make sure that the keywords people would use to find your site are used prominently and sensibly within the content. Plus make the links on your web site descriptive not just 'click here'.
