Please take a moment to read that headline again – often when people read it the first time, they think I am saying change the direction of your business- I’m NOT! I’m saying please DON’T change the direction of your business, if you want to succeed.
Let me explain a little more - If you were going on a trip and wanted to get from here to Edinburgh – you will go from here to Edinburgh won’t you? If you come across a road block along the way – you won’t turn around and decide to go to Wales instead will you?
No, you will find new ways of getting to Edinburgh, but you will still be going in the same direction as the one you started out going in - you are still heading for the same destination, you just have to take a new approach and find a new way to get to your final destination when things get in the way, not choose a new destination.
Now, most especially, is the time to stay focussed on your destination and NOT change it.
How many experts have told you, that the most important thing for you to do, when you started your business, was to write your business plan, create a marketing strategy and cash flow forecast and other business related tasks?
- How much money have you spent, on marketing, and promoting your business?
- How much money are you throwing away every year, attending expensive, often over rated, business building programmes and events?
- How much time do you waste attending networking events that you pay for and come away without any results?

Because I've done hours of research, have attended so many business building & start up workshops and programmes, spoken to other small business owners and sole traders, researched businesses that are not happy with where they are right now and desperately want to succeed. I have watched these same people spend thousands and grasp at straws, trying to get going or survive and every one of these businesses/start ups has these ingredients missing.
Why don't business advisors, business link, people who run start-up business training courses and programmes for you and your business, give you these tools and techniques or tell you what these vital missing ingredients are? Because they haven't realised that they are missing, they are so focussed on teaching you how to grow your business, market your business and get customers, they take you straight from the floor to the 2nd rung on the ladder and bypass the first rung altogether. They have been trained by others who learnt the same business strategies and techniques, as they are now teaching you , they have been on the courses and workshops that other business experts offer. Not only have they not realised that these ingredients are missing, some of them haven't learnt these techniques themselves.
Why don't the successful millionaire entrepreneurs and business experts tell you about these vital missing ingredients?
Not because they are scared you will join them in being amongst the top 3% of the population and become successful, there is enough success to go around, they are happy if you succeed not worried about it.
