There are many different ways to use the network to increase your business contacts, find new leads and sell your ideas and services as well as establishing long lasting business relationships with other members that can run on and on

Over the coming weeks we will post a number of articles here to help you get the most from the Million Impossible web site and Business Network

Here's a few tips to get you started!

How to market yourself in the best way possible on Million Impossible.

Your profile is your 'domain page'. It is your given right to express yourself on the website and the first impression that other entrepreneurs will get from you. Make sure you look your best. This is your first point of contact. If your background explains your skills and abilities think how much more of a benefit this will be for you and for other entrepreneurs seeking those skills.

On update your profile you can also upload an image of yourself, this is worthwhile as other networkers are more likely to warm to someone with a photo because of a more personal approach.

It couldn't be easier to upload a photo, simply click on the "Change" button. Your page will display the photo up-loader (image on the right).

Remember , if you post a full profile other members are more likely to contact you!

The browse button will browse through local files on your computer. Make sure you store your photo on your computer somewhere easily accessible. Once you have found your photo select the image and click submit.

Business Contact Forums - Your main meeting place.

This is where the fun starts, this is your networking portal. It is the place to seek advice, give advice, find out how others have done things and share ideas. This is one big opportunity to obtain as much knowledge as possible, make use of it.

Join entrepreneurs from all over the world who are online climbing their way to the top. Rome was not built in a day! This applies to networking just as much!

The more you're open to network with people the more opportunities will open up to you.

On the main forum page you will come across all the current Forums and an overview of the Forum Categories in each. Here you can also see how many topics are in each and how many posts. You can also see when the last post to the Forum Category was made and who by. Do not under estimate the power of these small details. The tools may be small but a true artist plans from the whole piece of paper, so it's vital you're not neglecting things that may just assist you in connecting with people faster. For example, if you knew when Fred is replying to the posts then you can catch up with him at these times to gain faster feedback. Not forgetting of course, if you recognise the reply times more appropriate for this person, you could always instigate instant messaging or arrange a time to chat online in the Live Chat Rooms.

You can also see just how many people are going to be reading the topic you are on and how many people are replying to the topic which could be necessary if you would prefer to capture a larger audience.

When you overview the topic you will be able to see the three following icons. The top pencil and paper icon on the forum category bar allows you to subscribe to the whole category. The folder icon on the topic overview allows you to create a new topic of your own inside that forum. The pencil and paper next to the folder on this topic allows you to subscribe just to that individual topic.

So in short you can control how much of a report you want from the forums. If you would like to subscribe to every forum and receive notifications every time someone posts you can do this on the main forum page at the top with the Subscribe Icon (pencil and paper). If you feel that would be too much you could subscribe to forum's in one category (for example General Discussion Forum) or it may suit you more just to subscribe to the current topic you are posting in which can be done by clicking into the forum and selecting the subscribe button.

Inside the topic you click on (or create) you will see each post which will give you information from how much a user has posted overall, when they posted their reply

At the top of the forum page of the Topic you are viewing you can see the following buttons. Including the option to reply to the topic. This is where you can really get involved by adding new topics, replying to topics and subscribing to topics.

If this is the case you will come across this window. Simply just type in what you would like to add. There is no limit on creating awareness with your post, from changing the text to adding images and if you really want to express yourself try adding a couple of smiley faces for that extra boost!

The main point behind this is people are here to unite together. We are all here to both give advice as well as receive advice ourselves. Start talking today and you never know how much you could get from getting to know from simply just one entrepreneur on the site. This entrepreneur may just hold the key to moving you onto your next step. Whether it is through advice, information or working together.

Thats easy. Simply click on the Member Database find the member you would like to chat with (check to make sure they are online - the green light will be on on there profile card) then click Chat a window will appear and you can start chatting.

Not to mention one of the most approachable ways of marketing yourself. Creating not only awareness of your business, but your skills. After all the skills you possess may just be exactly what someone else is looking for. Maybe you're lacking skills in a particular area and could do with some help? Videos should be approximately three minutes in length and consist of a mixture of promotion of your product or service combined with the communication of best practices for your business sector. Mi Tube is an educational and business promotion streaming video service for Million Impossible members. Fully subscribed members can create record and send in on disk a video promoting their business.

Get involved with Entrepreneur School

We welcome Million Impossible members to put their names forward to become a business tutor. Each member will promote and talk about their specific business and experience whether that is accounting, sales, finance, bookkeeping or other required fields of expertise.

Tutors will both train and look to win new business from the pupils that attend the school and as the schools are intended to be created at County level, this means that there is a demographic between tutor pupil and business supplier.

The Entrepreneur School is a school run by Entrepreneurs - for Entrepreneurs - passing on their vast business and real life experiences. If you want to get involved email your interest to Bradley Chapman at es@millionimpossible.com

The school allows Entrepreneurs to enter into a business programme that covers a number of subjects ranging from company formation through to accounting and taxation as well as sales and marketing.

The British Library event proved that entrepreneurs no matter how successful are willing to share their stories and give advice.

We are currently bringing together a group of skilled and successful business people who have a myriad of business skills in specific fields of expertise to work with us on the launch of Entrepreneur School and we have already received interest from as far as the USA. Ranging from Sales and Marketing to Secretarial Services, Car Leasing and Web Design, the Entrepreneur School will bring together

Entrepreneurs with real life experience to make a complete Business Programme for aspiring entrepreneurs and Start up Businesses. Entrepreneur School will be there to increase the chance of success for businesses launched and give a more realistic view to those unaware of the challenges that they may face overall and reduce the failure rate.
